Social enterprises have hardly any financial reserves but still seem to be incredibly resilient. A survey by EBS Universität in cooperation with German social enterprises during the corona crisis has shown that these have to constantly maintain the balance between social reality and financial security and, although already to a certain extent crisis-pro. Are now faced with new challenges. The survey, conducted in 2020 for the German Social Enterprise Monitor (DSEM) of the German Social Entrepreneurship Network (SEND) documents this quite clearly.
EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht (EBS) marks its 50th birthday in 2021: On April 6, 1971, Prof. Dr. Klaus Evard founded the European Business School with five German students and 24 students from the partner university in Paris at the time. Today, with its bachelor’s and master’s programmes as well as a law programme, EBS is a university with a clear international profile and modern, practice-oriented learning methods.
Great joy in the law faculty at EBS Universität: Since the first graduate class of 2016 EBS Law School has been training the best law graduates in Hesse. In 2019 EBS student Tobias Törk passed the First Law Examination with a grade of 13.58 points and took first place among the 720 successful graduates. He continues the series as the best graduate in Hesse from EBS Universität for the fourth year in a row.
1 March 2020 was the official launch date of the Gründungsfabrik Rheingau, the joint project of Geisenheim University of Applied Sciences and EBS Universität, funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) through the EXIST programme. Read more about the challenges and goals.
Studying and working from home presents several challenges. 2020 showed this very clearly. Negative side effects such as back or neck pain quickly set in when people do not have ergonomic office furniture at their disposal. Our alumnus Luka Schlund founded the company, together with Lisa Rosa Bräutigam. With nuwo, employees have the possibility to set up their workplaces at home cost-effectively.
