EBS Alumnus Tobias Hoss named to Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe 2025
Tobias Hoss, an alumnus of EBS Universität, has been recognised in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe 2025 list, which celebrates young visionaries across industries who are shaping the future.

As Senior Vice President of Operations at Berlin-based media company Lunar X, Tobias has played a key role in scaling the business profitably. Lunar X now manages over 110 million YouTube subscribers, more than 40 billion views, and a fast-growing music division.
EBS: What was the decisive moment on your path to success?
Tobias Hoss: My journey began traditionally at McKinsey – I wanted to learn quickly and broadly. That gave me a strong foundation to later dive into the startup world.
At Lunar X, I took on real responsibility – building global operations, launching business units, and managing our fundraising. These experiences sharpened my entrepreneurial mindset.
EBS: What advice would you give to students who want to become entrepreneurs?
Tobias Hoss: Think big but start small. Innovation often comes from execution, not perfect ideas. Find co-founders who complement you, build a strong environment early, and don’t fear failure. Start doing – with curiosity and resilience.
EBS: How did EBS shape your journey?
Tobias Hoss: Coming from a craftsman family, business and consulting were foreign to me. EBS opened those doors. The blend of theory and practice, company exposure, and international experience helped me grow – skills I rely on to this day.
EBS: What’s your fondest EBS memory?
Tobias Hoss: The EBSpirit – a unique blend of drive and community. That sense of shared ambition left a lasting impression and still shapes how I build networks today.
EBS: What motivates you now – and how do you want to use your platform?
Tobias Hoss: I believe media can be more than entertainment – it can educate, connect, and drive positive change. At Lunar X, we’re building a platform that empowers creators to do just that – and I want to help them reach their full potential.
EBS Universität congratulates Tobias Hoss on this achievement and is proud to see another alumnus among Europe’s leading voices in media and innovation.
