Professor Dr Sarah Legner awarded the 2024 Helmut Schippel Prize

Award for outstanding practical research relevant to the notarial profession

On 6 June 2024, Prof Dr Sarah Legner was awarded the prestigious Helmut Schippel Prize of the German Notarial Association in Würzburg. The prize honours outstanding academic work related to notarial practice.

Prof. Legner's habilitation thesis, 'Drafting Multilateral Exchange Contracts', was recognised. This work addresses the theory and practice of multipolar contractual arrangements, which are becoming increasingly important in notarial practice.

Vice President Elke Holthausen Dux made the ceremonial presentation, accompanied by a laudatory speech from PD Dr Meier, who emphasised the relevance of Prof. Legner's research for notarial law.
