"Discover Law" and "Discover Business" inform future students

What makes studying at EBS Universität so special? What can I do with it in the future? And what else can a student at EBS Universität experience outside the lecture rooms? Students found answers to these and other questions last week at the information events “Discover Law” and “Discover Business” at EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht.

Study law in the Hessian state capital Wiesbaden

According to statistics, only one in three students passes the first legal examination (formerly the first state examination). This is why EBS Universität provides its students with particularly intensive support: small learning groups and individual supervision as well as targeted exam preparation over a period of one year ensured that EBS students received a rating of 67 percent in 2017. Students at EBS Universität can achieve three academic degrees in less than five years. These include Bachelor of Laws, the first legal examination and Master in Business. Due to close cooperation with EBS Business School, the business studies section of the course is an integral part of the study programme from the very beginning. 200 corporate partners and around 90 partner universities are available to choose from for the integrated study abroad programme.

In addition to the study of legal and business content, students’ extra-curricular activities also form an important part of their studies at EBS Universität. In around 20 student initiatives, students have the opportunity to get involved, develop their personalities through teamwork and project work, and devote themselves to social, cultural and scientific topics over and above their studies. A highlight every year is the student-organized EBS Law Congress. Every year, the students succeed in attracting numerous renowned speakers to attend the Congress. Last year, for instance, under the patronage of Jean-Claude Juncker, Prof. Dr. iur. Martin Sellmayr, Secretary General of the European Commission and Minister of Statefor Europe at the Federal Foreign Office, Michael Roth spoke to the delegates. The EBS Law Congress 2019 takes place on October 24 and 25, on the subject of “Democracy at Risk! The Significance of this Form of Government for Politics”.

Study Business Administration in the idyllic Rheingau region

EBS Business School is the oldest private business school in Germany and provides excellent international education. The cornerstones of the English-language business studies programme at EBS Universität are a firmly integrated semester abroad at one of the 230 partner universities worldwide and a strong practical orientation supported by a large number of well-known partner companies.

The principle of small groups and innovative teaching methods ensures accessibility to both lecturers and fellow students. Situated in the picturesque Rheingau between Rhine and vineyards, students not only receive a top education, but also find a second home: this became clear to pupils and their parents at the latest at the get-together in the university wine cellar and on the campus tour through Schloss Reichartshausen , the history of which dates back to 1152. Professors and students live and learn here in an environment characterised by community spirit. “EBS people” continue to cultivate their personal relationships even after graduation. The Alumni Association of EBS Universität was founded in 1980 as the first alumni organisation of business administration faculties in Germany. Back then, the association was founded by six graduates, whereas today it has more than 3,400 members in over 30 countries. EBS Alumni e.V. offers its members worldwide networking activities, lectures and events.
