Life is too short for boring evenings: so why not swap your leisure time sofa for a castle? When the summer sun slowly sets behind the vineyards and the Rhine glistens in the evening light, the excitement will begin in the courtyard of Reichartshausen Castle on August 4 and 5: Visitors can look forward to a mix of culinary and cineastic delights. “Our University has been deeply rooted in the Rheingau for over 35 years. We are very pleased to be the venue for such a great film festival, and proud to be able to contribute to the region’s wide range of cultural activities. We would like to invite all film enthusiasts to our Castle Campus!” says Prof. Markus Ogorek, President of EBS.
The evening begins at 19.30h with live music, interviews with the filmmakers and delicious food for your physical well-being. The films begin when darkness falls. Firstly, on Friday, August 4, the visitors can look forward to current short film highlights which have already enthralled the audiences at other festivals or at the Oscar Awards. On Saturday, August 5, the 2017 public’s favourites will be shown again, followed by the prize ceremony for the best short film in the region. If the weather is bad, the festival will take place inside the EBS building. The cooperation between the Shorts at Moonlight Short Film Festival, the Kulturfonds Frankfurt RheinMain, the town of Oestrich-Winkel and the EBS Universität has made it possible to organise this event for the first time against this impressive backdrop.
To cut a long story short, tickets are now available on www.kurzfilmfestival.de. In Oestrich-Winkel, Eltville and Geisenheim, tickets can also be bought in the bookshops Untiedt and Idstein (without additional fees). The box office opens on both days at 19.30h.
