L’Oréal Brandstorm 2018: Two EBS teams advance to the national final in Germany

Since many years, the strategic marketing business game L´Oréal Brandstorm belongs to the curriculum of the Chair of Strategic Marketing at EBS University. As in the previous year, two teams from EBS were able to convince the jury of their innovative idea and disrupting concept. By doing so, the teams now have the chance to participate in the national final in Düsseldorf at the L´Oréal Headquarter on the 12th of April 2018.

This year´s challenge asked the students to invent the professional salon experience of the future. The task was to disrupt the salon experience for millennials at the age of 25 to 35 years. In order to fulfill this task, the students had the opportunity to incorporate several brands allocated in the L´Oréal Professional portfolio to set their innovation in a reasonable context.

As in the previous years, L´Oréal Germany visited the EBS campus in Oestrich-Winkel for the campus final. Eleven teams in total presented in front of the jury consisting of Ruben Latz and Marvin Homburg from L´Oréal and Prof. Dr. Mattmüller with his team from the EBS. The teams “Sweeney Toddies” ranked first place and “EBScelerators” second. Both teams were able to convince the jury of their innovative salon experience and thus gained the chance to be presenting in the national final. We wish both Teams all the best for the next step in the competition!
