FIBAA premium quality label for Master in Automotive Management

This premium label approves a quality of the Master in Automotive Management far above average, clearly exceeding excellent and international requirements in academics and teaching. Dr Birger Hendriks, Managing Director of FIBAA, said on the margins of the premium label awarding ceremony: “The study program Master of Automotive Management (M.Sc.) has received a premium label in the FIBAA accreditation – this is due to its exceptional quality. I congratulate EBS on this remarkable success. This label is only awarded to programs by the FIBAA accreditations commission in a few cases. Since the year 2008, altogether 16 universities have received it for 36 programs.” Prof. Sven Henkel, Academic Director of the program, is very delighted about the re-accreditation and the awarding with the label: “We are very proud. At the same time we consider this award as an incentive to further expand and improve the program from now on even more motivated. I am allowed to say already: In the Master in Automotive Management we will work the more cross-industrial and digital, without losing sight of the car.” According to Prof. Henkel, the German engineering group and automotive supplier Schaeffler has been won as partner of a student consultancy project. In fall, the Head of Marketing at Porsche, Prof. Kjell Gruner, will teach in the course Brand Communications, and also Facebook has been integrated in the curriculum for the first time. Moreover, a long-term co-operation contract with Opel was signed. But also BMW, Mercedes and Smart have announced their visits in Oestrich-Winkel. “It could not be better at the moment – and we are very delighted about that”, says Sven Henkel viewing the coming semesters.
FIBAA assesses and promotes national and international public and privately owned education institutions and creates transparency on the educational market. It awards the label of the German Accreditation Council for accreditations of programs from the area of economics since 2002. For that purpose, with the aim of improving the quality and a subsequent accreditation of the program, the organization pursues a quality process together with the university. Among other things, this process covers the counselling in quality management, the assessment of the study program in terms of content and structure as well as the awarding of the FIBAA premium label if the conditions are met.
