MBA Onboarding Week - Sustainable Food

The first MBA Onboarding Week is all about sustainability.

This year, for the first time, the new EBS MBA students will also start with an onboarding week. The MBA Social Impact Challenge 2021 focuses on sustainable food production and is organized by EBS Impact Institute and Chair of Social Business under the leadership of Professor Karin Kreutzer. Sustainable food production is becoming increasingly important and innovative regional ideas are needed to solve the global problem. Partner of the challenge is the social enterprise “Du bist hier der Chef!”, a consumer brand that stands up for fairer prices, sustainable trade and the consideration of animal welfare in agriculture and is already active in 10 countries.

Over the week, the students develop concepts to increase the reach of sustainable products and to sensitize more consumers to the issue. In addition to the cooperation with the partner company “You are the boss here!” under the direction of Nicolas Barthelmé, several guest lectures on the various possibilities of implementing impact will take place during the week. EBS Alumni Sven Schondelmaier will present his impact agency WHYAHEAD and EBS Honorary Professor Andreas Heinecke will describe the challenges that social enterprises have faced in the Corona Pandemic. Through the Social Impact Challenge, students have the opportunity to get to know each other, the Rheingau region, and the EBS network while working on a sustainable solution to a global problem.
