EBS experts: Prof. Will on the legitimacy of curfews
In terms of the current corona crisis, there is hardly any topic that interests people more than the threat of curfews. Prof. Dr. Dr. Will, who has been teaching European Law, Constitutional Law and Administrative Law at EBS University since 2010, was recently interviewed for the Hessenschau on the legitimacy of curfews. Prof. Will points out that curfews can be permissible in principle - as long as a legal basis adopted by a parliament, such as the Infection Protection Act, is available. However, the state must also comply with the individual legal requirements. In particular, initial restrictions must be made proportionate.
