Many people publicly withhold their own opinions on supposed taboo topics. This is the conclusion of a survey conducted by the Allensbach Institute for Public Opinion Research. According to the survey, two-thirds of those questioned are careful about what they say where and to whom. In his lecture, Wolfgang Kubicki addressed the scope and limits of the fundamental right to freedom of expression and what these mean for political discourse, among other things. After the entertaining speech, the Dean of EBS Law School, Prof. Dr. Ulrich Segna, moderated an engaging discussion that covered a wide range of topics beyond the scope of the lecture: from shitstorms in social media to political correctness and corona politics in Germany and abroad.
Finally, Wolfgang Kubicki gave the participants one last statement: “Maintain your stance!”
