EBS Impact: Legislator implements proposal of EBS researchers

In November 2018, Prof. Dr. Dr. Martin Will, M.A., LL.M. (Cambridge), professor at the EBS Law School, and his research assistant Ref. iur. Benedikt Quarch, M.A., LL.B. pointed out a hitherto unrecognized regulatory contradiction in the practically very important Driving Licence Ordinance (FeV) in an essay in the prestigious Neue Zeitschrift für Verwaltungsrecht des C.H. Beck-Verlags (NVwZ 2018, 1610). At the same time, they showed several ways in which this problem could be solved.
Now the legislator has taken up the proposal of the two EBS researchers and deleted § 48 para. 2 no. 5 FeV from the law with effect from 19 March 2019 (BGBl. 2019 I, p. 2018).
