The 27th national selection meeting of the Europäisches Jugendparlament in Deutschland e.V. (EJP) took place from June 11 to 16, 2017 in Wiesbaden, approximately 100 youths and young adults from all over Europe discussed the effects of digitalisation on the European economic area.
Arne Buchwad discussed digitalisation and the impact of digital transformation on companies with mainly senior level pupils in the Hesse state parliament, within the framework of the “Digital Dialogue”, an Englsih-speaking specialist format. Arne Buchwald, Assistant Professor of Digital Transformation and Scientific Director of the Center for Digital Transformaton (CDT) at the EBS Business School, was invited as representative of the academic centre Wiesbaden.
The conference, which is organised on a voluntary basis by members of the youth parliament, is under the sponsorship of the Minister President of the State of Hessen, Volker Bouffier, and the President of the Hesse State Parliament, Norbert Kartmann. Since 1990, the EYP, as non-profit organisation, has offered young people a platform for active involvement in social issues, to develop visions for organising Europe and to discuss these with each other.
