Discussion paper on COVID-19: Actions and simulation models
The SARS-CoV-2 virus threatens the health of the world’s population with the COVID-19 pandemic it has triggered. Suppression on the one hand and mitigation on the other hand are two basic strategies in the fight against a pandemic.
In their discussion paper, the authors Tunder, Dierkes and Vitis of the Health Care Management Institute examine both strategies with regard to their applicability in the context of combating the COVID-19 pandemic and also give a first outlook on the basic criteria necessary to successfully contain the spread of the virus.
