CHE University Ranking 2017

The EBS Law School, the most recently established law faculty in Germany, is placed in the top group in eleven out of twelve categories covered by the student survey. The students’ assessment of the individual support they receive from the teaching personnel was particularly positive, likewise the intensive support in connection with their studies as a whole, and the high quality of the university’s revision courses. In the individual categories the Law School performs considerably better than the national average for all universities.

The EBS Business School also achieves impressive results: The EBS Business School is placed in the top group in ten out of twelve categories covered by the student survey. It achieves high scores thanks to the international focus of its bachelor and master degree programmes, the intensive support of students, and its scientific publications, especially in collaboration with corporate partners as well as in an international context.

The CHE University Ranking is the most comprehensive and detailed ranking in German-speaking countries. In addition to aspects such as study programmes, teaching, facilities, and research, the ranking also takes into account how students rate study conditions at their university. More than 300 universities, more than 2700 schools, and more than 10.000 programmes have taken part in the survey. The institutional survey, which provides an overview of the participating universities, takes place annually, while the school survey takes place every three years.

U-Multirank 2017

In the German comparison, business studies/economics at the EBS received the second largest number of “A” placings in the current U-Multirank. In the Teaching category, the EBS obtained impressive results for the indicators “Quality of Courses”, “Organization of the Program”, and “Contact with Teaching Staff”, thereby underscoring its strong service orientation and the individual care and supervision of students.

And in the field of research the EBS achieved above-average results. In this case the assessment focused on the Faculty’s research publications, the citation rates, and the relevance of the research in terms of teaching and practice. U-Multirank also awarded the EBS top marks for the business school’s international character: the systematically English-language bachelor and master programs, the mobility of students in the form of time spent abroad, double degrees, the considerable international diversity of students and professors – these are all major factors in the internationalization strategy pursued by the EBS.

The U-Multirank ranking—initiated by the European Commission—provides prospective students with more granular insights than traditional rankings by examining a variety of dimensions, rather than a single overall score.
