Annemarie Conrath-Hagreaves joined EBS University in 2012, first as Research Assistant at the Chair of Prof. Dr. Cloer, and from 2013 onwards as a lecturer. She is a PhD Candidate in Accounting and is currently completing a cumulative doctoral thesis (PhD) in the field of public sector accounting at the European University Viadrina (EUV), where she also obtained her Bachelor and Master’s degree in International Business Administration.
Her research focuses on the regulation of accounting in the private and public sector, whereby the focus of her dissertation lies on recent public sector developments that arose in the wake of the Global Financial Crisis and the Sovereign Debt Crisis. Her research in this area also includes politics in standard setting, the translation of accounting technologies from the transnational to the (supra)national and the role of expertise in standard setting.
