The objective of this module is to build an understanding of how to manage and improve the performance (efficiency and responsiveness) of operations and supply chains through better decision-making and coordination.
The module introduces the fundamental aspects of operations management (e.g., process design and analysis, quality management and control, lean production, inventory management, forecasting) and supply chain management (e.g., supply chain network design, delayed product differentiation, supply chain conflict and coordination). It will also provide some exposure to analytical modeling tools and techniques that can be used to support managerial decision-making in many different settings (e.g., regression, simulation).
