Mathematical Economics

The module Mathematical Economics provides students with an overview of the mathematical, microeconomic and macroeconomic concepts relevant for further studies in business, management, and economics at the Master’s level. Topics include mathematical optimization methods, household optimization problems, production optimization, perfect competition, monopoly, oligopoly, welfare analysis, aggregate demand and supply, goods and money market, exchange rates, and balance of payments. Examples and practical applications will be presented to highlight the relevance of the economic methods in management practice.
