Curriculum Vitae

Myriam Bechtoldt holds a PhD in work and organizational psychology and a diploma (comparable to M.Sc.) in psychology. After her PhD, she was assistant professor at the University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands). Prior to joining EBS she was Full Professor of Organizational Behavior at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.

Her scientific work has been published in Emotion, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, The Leadership Quarterly, and Personnel Psychology, among others. She serves on the Editorial Board of The Leadership Quarterly and is an Associate Editor of Frontiers in Organizational Psychology.

Her research interests relate to Gender & Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, Stress and Occupational Health, and Psychological Antecedents for Engagement on Climate Change.

She is a trained systemic psychotherapist. Prior to her academic career, she worked as an editor.
