Welcome to the Center for Digital Transformation (CDT) as one of four research areas at the Strascheg Institute for Innovation, Transformation & Entrepreneurship (SITE).
Digitalization is yet predominantly seen as a means to improve efficiency. However, digitalization goes far beyond and increasingly challenges traditional business models from a competition’s point of view. In light of the digitalization, companies succeed that 1) take advantage of the opportunities of emerging digital business models, 2) leverage the active use of innovative technologies and 3) develop continuously their own “digital DNA”.
The Center for Digital Transformation guided by Professor Dr. Arne Buchwald serves an exchange platform on all matters related to the digital transformation between research and corporate practice. By integrating research, teaching, and practice, we cover the topic of digital transformation in its entirety and leverage synergies through continuous exchange.

In terms of teaching, we contribute with our in-depth domain knowledge on digital transformation in multiple ways to our university. You can find further information about our projects and lectures on the next pages.
We also advise companies regarding the opportunities and challenges of a successful digital transformation. In close cooperation with companies, the Center for Digital Transformation conducts applied research projects which directly deliver value to the cooperation partner and, in turn, advance the scientific discourse with valuable practical knowledge.
