Chair of Customer Behaviour and Sales
Prof. Dr. Sven Henkel joined EBS Business School where he heads the chair. From 2008 to 2014, the marketing expert and researcher into consumer behaviour was Assistant Professor and most recently Vice Director at the Center for Consumer Insight at the University of St. Gallen.
He is pleased to accept this new challenge at one of the most highly regarded business schools in Germany, and is very much looking forward to renewing and rethinking contemporary issues such as digitalization, communication and sales psychology with a rigorous consumer perspective and putting these topics on our partners’ agenda. In these exciting and fast-changing times research needs to keep pace with the environment and cannot afford to sit in the outmoded ivory tower. The main focus of Prof. Dr. Henkel’s research activities at the Chair of Customer Behaviour and Sales is on “marketing communication 3.0”, emotional selling, and technology and innovation marketing as well as the entire area of mobility.
Prof. Dr. Henkel has published extensively in top international journals such as the Journal of Service Research, Journal of Advertising Research and Journal of Economic Psychology.
