Study programme structure

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

A unique start to your studies
Jump straight into study and practice with the MBA Impact and Consultancy Challenge during the onboarding project week. You and your fellow students will work on a real case study for a local company, presenting the results at the end of the week. This will give you an initial taster of what you can expect throughout your MBA studies: a concrete challenge at the beginning. Your knowledge and methods will help you to come up with a strong solution.

An MBA for leaders

The MBA at EBS Universität prepares you for leadership positions in two (or four) semesters and equips you with important skills for the future. From day one, you will work on real business challenges, gain practical experience and build up contacts for your career network.
During your studies, you will enhance your theoretical knowledge through the project field study before completing your master’s thesis on another specific business case, the capstone project.

Your capstone project: from a real business problem to a strategic solution

As part of your capstone project, you will work on a corporate partner’s real business problem. In the capstone seminar, you will be guided through the design science research methodology in a structured manner. Over the course of ten weeks, you will work intensively on your specific issue, combining scientific methods with strategic thinking to devise a solution that can create tangible added value for the company involved.

Following a successful presentation before a jury of business representatives, there is a possibility that the project will go beyond the presentation, with the devised solution actually being implemented at the company.

Gathering experience abroad

The international entrepreneurship module, which is firmly integrated into the curriculum, will give you the opportunity to acquire international experience and gain insights into business practice in an inspiring start-up environment.

Further enhance your studies with additional international experience and extend it by a semester at one of our partner universities.

In the part-time version of the MBA Flex Model, modules can be taken within the specified terms and up to four semesters in consultation with Programme Management.

One study programme. Two options.

We appreciate that life is unpredictable and circumstances can change while studying. That is why we have developed the EBS Flex model – with two different training pathways that give you maximum flexibility.

Both options follow a three-day model, with all courses taking place from Thursday to Saturday. The part-time option requires attendance on a maximum of two days per week.

The only exceptions are the MBA Impact and Consultancy Challenge during the onboarding project week and the international entrepreneurship module in Haarlem.

Full-time option

The study programme will give you comprehensive knowledge of business administration, teach you management expertise and intercultural skills and support your personal development, providing the ideal preparation for a leadership role. The MBA is designed as a full-time course of study over two semesters and represents an efficient way for you to achieve your career goals.

Part-time option

Take a flexible approach to your studies and balance your professional and personal commitments by completing your MBA in 24 months instead of 12 months. This will enable you to enjoy the best of both worlds – the time-related benefits of part-time study and the intensive learning experience of a full-time programme.
