Dr. Mike Schulze is Research Director Controlling & Innovation and member of the management board of the Strascheg Institute for Innovation, Transformation & Entrepreneurship (SITE). In his current function, he heads various application-oriented research projects, which are carried out with a team of scientific employees and project partners from the manufacturing industry (in particular machine and plant engineering as well as the automotive industry) and consultancy companies in the areas of Controlling and Finance. Prior to that, he had been working as a research assistant and doctoral student at the SITE since January 2011. He successfully completed his doctoral thesis on “Enhancing energy efficiency in industry - Essays on energy management and its control aspects” in February 2016, which was published in the form of individual articles in renowned international scientific journals.
