Andreas Dombret started his career in 1987 at the headquarters of Deutsche Bank. This was followed by positions at JP Morgan, Rothschild and the Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In 2009 he was appointed honorary professor at EBS Universität, where he lectures on financial markets and the current financial market crisis. From 2010 to 2018 Andreas Dombret was a member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Bundesbank, where he was responsible for banking supervision, financial markets, financial stability and the University of Deutsche Bundesbank. In this capacity, he represented the German central bank at the G7 and G20, the IMF, the Financial Stability Board and the Financial Stability Committee, among others. He was also a member of the Basel Committee and the Supervisory Board of the ECB. After leaving, he advised as Global Senior Advisor several multinational companies such as the management consultancy Oliver Wyman and the Japanese megabank Sumitomo Mitsui.
