With international experience
Dr. Andreas von der Heydt is an executive coach, consultant and leadership expert. His areas of specialism include high-impact leadership, transformation management and the development of organisation-wide coaching programmes.
Drawing on a 25-year international career as a managing director and board member in leading companies, as well as 20 years’ experience as an in-house and external coach, he supports senior executives both in Germany and abroad.
Andreas is the author of several books on leadership and coaching and a sought-after keynote speaker on forward-looking leadership topics.

Programme structure
The certificate programme can be completed whilst working and comprises five modules. These are spread over eight days, which are divided into face-to-face sessions, online sessions and practical placements.
Module 1
Grundlagen: Psychologische Sicherheit etablieren
- Understanding and utilising the core competencies of HUMA managers and professionals
- Discovering the future-oriented and distinctly human ‘Human Power Skills’
- Practising effective strategies and techniques to build and ‘live’ psychological safety
- Striking a balance between psychological safety and achieving results
Module 2
Wachstumsorientierte Haltung entwickeln (Growth Mindset)
- Introduction to and practical application of effective models and tried-and-tested measures
- Distinguishing between a growth mindset and a fixed mindset (including practical examples)
- Identifying and overcoming limiting beliefs; defining behavioural anchors to strengthen the growth mindset
Module 3
Building a sense of ownership and delivering excellence
- Ownership rather than control: using the Ownership Ladder as a key (self-)leadership tool
- Establishing excellence in implementation as an underrated supreme discipline and unique selling point
- Learning about and utilising effective systemic levers to make the right adjustments
Module 4
Developing and expanding ‘Human Power Skills’ (Part 1) in greater depth
- Practising and developing the uniquely human skills of the future, for self-management and team leadership
- Block 1: Curiosity & creativity; communication & collaboration; contextual intelligence and strategic thinking; intuition & associative thinking; courage and moral courage
- Block 2: Improvisation & agility; self-reflection and resilience; trust and understanding of systems; empathy and bonding; learning and teaching
Module 5
Human Power Skills (Part 2); Ensuring and Maximising Learning Transfer
- Reflection on and consolidation of the skills acquired
- Drawing up a personal development plan for one’s own development and continuous growth
- Practical application of coaching and peer-coaching approaches to put learning into practice and consolidate it
- This is followed by certification and admission to the EBS University alumni network
