Jan-Christoph Rülke joined the department as Professor of Economics in December 2014. He studied economics at Goethe University, Frankfurt and the University of Gießen. He obtained his PhD from the WHU – Otto Beisheim School, Vallendar and worked with the European Central Bank in 2007 and 2008. Between 2009 and 2014 he was Assistant Professor for Macroeconomics and International Economics at the WHU. He held visiting research positions at the Deutsche Bundesbank, Österreichische Nationalbank, Institut für Weltwirtschaft, CREI and Tinbergen Institut.
Areas of Research
His research focus is on macroeconomics, monetary and international economics. He has published in the Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control and Journal of International Money and Finance among other journals.
