Restructuring and Turnaround Certificate Programme

We understand restructuring as a holistic task, encompassing a company's strategic realignment, operational improvement and financial stabilisation. The "Restructuring and Turnaround Advisor" certificate programme focuses on out-of-court restructuring. The programme equips you to develop restructuring concepts, consistently implement holistic restructuring and turnaround programmes, and minimise personal risk as a restructuring or turnaround adviser, interim manager (CRO), bank employee, managing director or shareholder. You will learn to make decisions based on current legal requirements and standards, while benefiting from access to the large IfUS alumni network of more than 1,000 graduates. The programme also introduces you to the new Stabilisation and Restructuring Framework (StaRUG), the new out-of-court restructuring procedure that came into force on 1 January 2021.

Individual modules cover, for example, how to draw up a restructuring concept, which financing instruments can be used during a crisis, which criminal and liability risks lurk in a crisis, which employment law restructuring measures exist, and how insolvency proceedings work.
