Ferdinand Mager

Prof. Ferdinand Mager teaches both in the Bachelor program (Corporate Finance and Valuation) as well as in the Master program (Financial Modeling). In the field of Executive Education he regularly lectures for the Real Estate Management Institute (REMI).

The chair* closely cooperates with the CFA® Institute and the CFA® Society Germany. Prof. Mager himself is CFA® Charterholder for over ten years. As a CFA® Programme Director he is responsible for the programme partnership and can award up to ten EBS students for a CFA® Scholarship. This scholarships largely cover the costs of CFA®- Level I-exam. The program complies with the requirements of the CFA® curriculum. Representatives of the CFA® Society are frequently our guests. Many of our international graduates have also become a CFA® Charterholder.

Every year Prof. Mager accompanies his CFA® students throughout the CFA® Research Challenge. In 2012, the EBS team could win this ambitious challenge.

Working Papers

Current research interests are focused on insuring occupational pension schemes (in cooperation with Deutsche Bundesbank) and market micro structure based on high frequency data. All working papers are available on request.
