By 2045, Germany faces the largest transfer of wealth in its history. Whether businesses, property or financial portfolios, everything calls for cross-generational structuring. It was a great pleasure to return to my alma mater in the Rheingau after more than 20 years. At the Executive School of EBS University, too, the combination of the standards of an academic institution, a clear practical focus and an excellent network has proved its worth once again.
The lecturers on the Estate Execution certificate programme were outstanding, and the conversations with the other participants were very enriching.

Who these programmes are ideal for
Our programmes are aimed at employees, specialists and managers in private banking, wealth management and family offices who are responsible for assets, transactions and succession.
Participants want to broaden their advisory expertise holistically, master new areas such as generational management, foundation advisory or private equity with confidence, and in many cases aim for certification as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® or CFEP® CERTIFIED FOUNDATION AND ESTATE PLANNER through FPSB Deutschland.
Successful completion and a possible FPSB certification are a guarantee of new career prospects in one of the most important growth markets in banking.
The transferability of ECTS credits offers the opportunity to combine professional continuing education intelligently and efficiently with a Master's degree from EBS University, even for people without a Bachelor's degree.

Frequently asked questions
Can I combine several programmes?
Yes, the programmes can be combined and in part build on one another. A common starting point is Financial Economics, followed by further study in Generational Management & Estate Planning or Estate Execution. The continuing education programmes carry ECTS credits, which can be credited towards the Master in Business (Wealth Management).
What prerequisites do I need?
In principle, you need either a university degree or demonstrable professional experience. Legal or tax knowledge is not strictly required for most programmes. You can find details on the individual programme pages.
Are there materials and templates?
Yes, all participants receive all lecture materials, as well as proven tools, checklists and templates that you can use directly in a corporate context. These materials, developed by the lecturers for each year's cohort, are provided to you electronically.
What happens in the event of illness?
In principle, we provide all participants with the materials electronically before the lectures begin. We offer almost all certificate programmes not only in person but also live online via Zoom, so you can also take part from home. In the case of longer illness, we will find an individual solution, such as a deferral to the next year's cohort. If you cancel the course, our terms and conditions apply. Please get in touch with us!
What does the programme cost, and are there financing options?
The investment varies depending on the programme. Tuition fees are payable in two to three instalments, education vouchers are accepted, and the costs can generally be deducted for tax purposes as professional development. The tuition fees include all course materials. They also cover refreshments during breaks, lunch (restaurant visits) and examinations at the first and second attempt. An examination fee is charged for each further resit.
What is the pass rate for the CFP® examination?
For years, our graduates have achieved an above-average pass rate of 85% in the FPSB central examination (compared with a national average of 73%). This is due to the practical preparation and the outstanding lecturers. A separate, bookable revision course for the FPSB central examination is not offered and is not necessary.
Are there also in-house programmes for companies?
Yes, we also offer all programme content as exclusive in-house training. We adapt the content to your corporate culture and strategic goals. Please feel free to get in touch.
Was passiert bei Krankheit?
I would like to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®). How do I get started?
The Financial Economics certificate programme is the most established continuing education programme and is accredited by Financial Planning Standards Board Deutschland e.V. Since 1997, it has formed the basis for preparing for CFP® certification.
In addition to the programme itself, all examinations prescribed by FPSB Deutschland are also held here.
As an EBS graduate, you will be optimally prepared for the FPSB central examination, which is offered twice a year and which you can sit after successfully completing Level I of the Financial Economics certificate programme. The pass rate is a good 10 percentage points above the average, and without the need for an additional revision course, which we consider unnecessary.
We would be happy to advise you on the best route to CFP® certification.
Ready for the next step?
Every development path is individual. Would you like to find out which training will best support you or your team?
We take the time to understand your individual needs and to show you the suitable options, with no obligation.
