What are digitalisation and AI strategies?

Digital transformation is far more than the use of new technologies. It stands for profound change that affects companies as a whole: from the way business models are conceived, through the structure of organisations, to the corporate culture that is actually lived. Anyone who wants to stay competitive today has to shape this change actively. Companies that consistently develop their processes, products and strategies digitally create decisive advantages for themselves. They work more efficiently, make data-based decisions and spot new market opportunities faster than their competitors. At the same time, they strengthen their adaptability in an environment that is changing rapidly.

The significance of digital transformation therefore lies not in the technology alone, but in the ability to position organisations for the future. Companies that approach this process strategically establish a lasting position in the market and can respond flexibly to new requirements, customer needs and industry developments.

Success story

The career catalyst

My studies at the Executive School were a catalyst for me. I was able to put the theory I had learned on digital transformation, digital business models and digital ecosystems directly into practice in my company. During my Bachelor's degree, I was already working at Schwarz Group. At some point, the tasks at work became routine, and I longed for new input. I therefore decided to complete the Master in Business with a focus on 'Digital Transformation' at the Executive School of EBS University.

Digital transformation is not simply a technical project that you just launch. It is a methodical management process. Anyone who understands this process and can guide it strategically stands out clearly from their competitors and colleagues.

For my Master's thesis, I interviewed board members and executives from various companies, as well as within Schwarz Group. Because I engaged with their topics, such as digital business models and digital ecosystems, the door opened for me to a role as an Advisor in the CEO Office. My studies in digital transformation stood out positively in my application. With these skills and this knowledge, I was able to convince in the interview. As an Advisor, I am already involved in international corporate decisions today and can apply my scientifically grounded knowledge in practice.
