Curriculum Vitae

Prof. Dr. Kai Förstl ist Professor für Supply Chain Management an der EBS Business School und Leiter der EBS Executive School. Er promovierte an der EBS Universität und widmete sich anschließend als Postdoc der angewandten Forschung am Fraunhofer Center for Applied Research on Supply Chain Services. Vor seiner Rückkehr an die EBS war er in seiner vorherigen Position Professor für Supply Chain Management und Logistik an der German Graduate School of Management and Law (GGS), Heilbronn. Während seiner Amtszeit hatte er Gast- und außerordentliche Professuren an der Rutgers Business School in New Jersey, USA, der University of Sussex Business School, Großbritannien, und dem Politecnico di Milano, Italien, inne.

Seine Forschungsinteressen umfassen Global Sourcing, Reshoring und Insourcing, Supply Chain Management Teams und nachhaltiges Supply Chain Management. Seine Forschungsergebnisse wurden in führenden Zeitschriften wie Production and Operations Management (POM), Journals of Supply Chain Management (JSCM) und International Journal of Operations and Production Management (IJOPM) sowie in anderen wissenschaftlichen und Management-Publikationen veröffentlicht. Derzeit ist er in zahlreichen Redaktionsgremien und als Mitherausgeber bei JSCM und IJOPM tätig. Er lehrt Supply Chain Management in den Bachelor- und Masterprogrammen der Universität und betreut Master- und Doktorarbeiten.
