Can the cost of further training be claimed for tax purposes?
In principle, the tuition fees for certificate programmes, as well as additional meal costs, accommodation costs and travel expenses, are tax-deductible as income-related expenses. With regard to your personal tax assessment, we recommend that you consult your tax advisers, as the EBS Universität Executive School is not authorised to provide tax advice.
Can I apply for educational leave for this further training?
Whether a certificate programme can be recognised as educational leave depends on the federal state in which your employer is based. You can take up to 5 working days per calendar year as educational leave, or even up to 10 working days if spread over two calendar years. Please get in touch with us!
