Controlling & Innovation

The research area Innovation Management is one out of four areas at the Strascheg Institute for Innovation, Transformation & Entrepreneurship (SITE). Headed by Dr Mike Schulze, its main focus lies on the most recent and influential topic in accounting and management control. Some of the key questions addressed are:

  • How can innovations and F&E activities be controlled systematically?
  • How can the effect of activities in the range of Sustainability be measured?
  • How can corporate and management performance be ascertained comprehensively and objectively?
  • How can the controller’s role and controlling itself be further optimised?

One of the main aims of the research team is the creation of knowledge through joint research projects with companies across multiple industries. We carry out research in innovative fields with the common aim to address current theoretical and practical challenges.
