The module focuses on business taxation, tax law, private and public law in Germany. After passing the course students will have a sound understanding of the main principles of law in Germany, particularly with a focus on issues relevant for business students. They will understand the main features of the German tax system, its impact on conducting business in Germany and they will be able to have insight into the main principles of how the German society is legally organized.

International Edition:

The module focuses on business taxation, tax law, private and public law in the European Union and will focus on Germany as an example within the EU. After passing the course students will have a sound understand of the legal framework in the European Union and particularly on the principle of non-discrimation being visible in many aspects of daily life. Furthermore, students wil get an overview on the German legal system and on taxation, not only from a German, but also from a global perspective.
