Diversity on the Campus
Compared to the very good results of 2017, the EBS has improved even further in seven sub-categories. Its particular strength lies in international orientation: Here, it scored “very good” in five out of six categories. The Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes, taught only in English, the mobility of students in the form of stays abroad and double degrees and the high cultural diversity of students and professors are an essential component of the internationalisation strategy pursued by EBS. “We are proud of the intercultural exchange lived on our campus: The proportion of international students at the EBS Business School is currently 44 percent,” says University President Professor Markus Ogorek.
In the teaching category EBS also received “good” to “very good” ratings, thus highlighting its strong service orientation and individual student support. In the field of research, EBS excels in five out of ten sub-categories with a “very good” score. In this category, U-Multirank rated as particularly positive the research publications and high citation rates, the research partnerships and the number of postdoctoral positions.
U-Multirank evaluates universities from all over the world according to a total of five criteria and thus offers applicants the opportunity to obtain a differentiated view of the profile and performance of the universities. The fifth edition of the international university comparison includes around 1,614 universities, 5,153 faculties and over 12,500 study programmes from 95 countries. In the five categories research, teaching, internationality, knowledge transfer and regional commitment, it assesses universities according to more than 30 individual indicators. Interested students can compare universities via an online platform using the indicators most important to them. U-Multirank is an initiative of the European Commission and is funded through the ERASMUS+ programme.
