Ben Woods is the Doctoral Assistant to the Chair of Corporate Finance and Higher Education Finance. Ben´s research centres on adaptive learning and reliable performance. Specifically, he looks at how complex organizations react to stress. In particular, Ben’s work seeks to explore high reliability organisations as templates for organisational design. He hopes that his work will contribute to a deeper understanding of the processes that allow institutions to operate effectively under testing conditions. Ben holds a BSc from the University of Liverpool and an MBA from the European Business School. In the intervening years, Ben served as a Captain in the British Army, an Area Manager at Amazon, and the founder of a start-up. He has side projects in pro-bono business consulting and helping fathers to connect with their children.
