Prof. Dr. Jan-Christoph Rülke, Professor of Economics (l.), discusses with students of the boarding school Schloss Hansenberg

Economic and financial knowledge plays a major role in today’s world. Prof. Dr. Jan-Christoph Rülke discusses important questions with students.

In order to sensitise pupils, to question claims and to form an opinion with the help of sound knowledge, the Flossbach von Storch Foundation and “Handelsblatt macht Schule” have launched the nationwide competition econo=me, which is aimed at pupils of all types of schools from grade 7 onwards. The task is: “What is our money worth? Monetary stability - a win-win situation for everyone?

A three-member team from the Schloss Hansenberg boarding school is also taking part in the competition. In February, the students met Prof. Dr. Jan-Christoph Rülke, Professor of Economics, to prepare themselves ideally for the competition. The team and Professor Rülke discussed current financial topics for over two hours.
