Our cooperations

The scientific research is carried out by the Institute for Brand and Communication Research.

** Research group “consumption and behaviour”**

Prof. Dr. Franz-Rudolf Esch and the chair of brand management are member of the research group “consumption and behaviour”.

The research group “consumption and behaviour” was founded by Prof. Dr. Werner Kroeber-Riel (University of the Saarland). Prof. Dr. Werner Kroeber-Riel was the initiator of consumer research in Germany. He died in 1995. Members of the research group are pupils of Werner-Kroeber-Riel und their “grandchildren”.

The research group he founded cooperates in questions of research and teaching. On a regular basis, there are research meetings held, in order to receive an academic exchange of ideas on topics involved in marketing and customer behavior. The group has grown constantly over the last years. It is now amongst the biggest research groups of marketing scientists in Germany.
