About us

Peter Drucker, the old master of modern management theory, wrote in 1954: "The company has two - and only two - basic functions: Marketing and Innovation. Marketing and innovation produce results; everything else is a cost." Today, 67 years later, this has never been truer. Technology has evolved rapidly over the past decade, and the current pace of technological development is driving profound changes in the way people live and work. It is impacting all disciplines, economies and industries, forcing companies to rethink their innovation strategies.

 

This is why we founded the Institute for Technology, Innovation and Customer Centricity (TICC) at EBS - one of the leading business schools in Germany. The TICC. is dedicated to finding answers to some of the big questions facing today's decision-makers, innovators and changemakers in business and society.

Interactive Courses

The EBS courses offer your company platforms to introduce your company to approximately 2000 EBS students, to discuss with them and to benefit from new, excellent ideas for your business issues.

For instance Prof. Tobias Gutmann regularly invites corporates or entrepreneurs to his presentations, an opportunity to discuss with students. In December 2020 Dr Robert Günther - Head of Corporate Venture Capital at Henkel - and Arno Held from AM Ventures attended his lectures.

Onboarding Project

Right from the beginning of Bachelor’s studies, students work in teams on a complex and highly topical case study. The first lectures give a comprehensive insight into the three-year business administration study programme and teach the necessary hard, soft and study skills. Interesting lectures by practitioners and an exciting excursion offer state-of-the-art know-how - and students have the opportunity to gain a first impression of their subsequent working life. You will forge your first contacts, get to know your fellow students and professors and learn more about EBS Universität. At the end of these two intensive weeks your results will be presented to a committee of professors and practitioners.

Case Study Flexible Mobility

Prof. Sven Henkel and Sebastian Timmer are working together with a company on a case study on the topic of ‘Flexible Mobility’. More precisely, the case study deals with the questions:

  • How can the company make their programme for employees living in rural areas more attractive?
  • How can the company incentivise the use of the budget for sustainable options?

 

Last year the students worked on a case study in cooperation with SAP. For this purpose, Prof. Sven Henkel invited Europe’s Green Fleet Manager of the Year, Steffen Krautwasser, to visit us, giving the students the opportunity to present their results.

Thesis Collaboration

Commissioning or supervising theses offers many advantages for companies that want to get in touch with the leaders of tomorrow. They not only benefit from new inspiration and fresh ideas for their company issues but also come into direct contact with potential talents.

Field Study Consulting

A consulting field study (CFS) is a real consulting project for a real company organized and conducted by a group of students under the supervision of a lecturer. It is therefore highly conceptual, practical and experiental:

  • CFS provide in-depth insights into strategy and organization
  • Students explore and apply tools and techniques for advising companies
  • Participants gain first experience in a real consulting project

Project Week

A project week is a one-week short-term consulting project for a real company conducted by a group of students under the supervision of an EBS professor.

  • High quality results are produced in a very short period of time
  • Students explore and apply scientifically proven tools and techniques for advising companies
  • Focusing on a specific topic for one week allows a deep dive into the topic and generates new solution approaches
