EBS Law Congress 2018
We are pleased to invite you to the 5th EBS Law Congress, Germany’s largest student legal congress!
This year’s EBS Law Congress is under the patronage of Mr Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission.
During the two-day event, a series of lectures, panel discussions and workshops will be held, covering legal and economic issues relating to the topic of “Europe in Transition - Legal Conflicts in Politics and the Economy”.
Speakers will include the French Ambassador to Germany, the Minister of State for Europe at the Federal Foreign Office, the Minister for European Affairs of Hesse, the President of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), the Chief Justice of Deutsche Bank AG, the Managing Director of Reporters Without Borders, the President of BaFin, Linklaters Senior Partner Germany, the Legal Director of Goldman Sachs AG as well as judges at the European Court of Justice, partners in international business law firms and other government representatives.
The EBS Law Congress also serves as a platform for bringing students into contact with companies and law firms. This will enable you to gather information about entry-level career opportunities in the legal field and to establish first contacts. Partner law firms are more than a dozen of the world’s largest commercial law firms in Germany and worldwide.

Please note: Only law students (final goal: state examination), legal trainees or legal research assistants can regularly attend the 5th EBS Law Congress.
As part of an application process, selected students can attend the EBS Law Congress for Pudents free of charge. Further information on this congress can be found here.
