Student body

Responsibility and co-determination – Student representation

The student body is organized in the student representation. Each year student representatives are elected who represent the student body in university committees and boards thus ensuring the students' participation in university affairs. Beyond this, the student representation is responsible for the coordination of all student activities. Each semester the student body awards the EBS Excellence Award Teaching to lecturers who receive a particularly good evaluation from the students.

Student activities contribute to campus diversity

The student-led organizations and their events play a significant role in university life. Almost every student is involved in one or more of the 20 student-led organizations and in doing so enriches campus life. At EBS parties, sports and cultural events regularly take place. Not only are the student organizations important in strengthening the strong community spirit within the student body, but they give students the opportunity to assume full responsibility for smaller and larger projects. The annual EBS Symposium, for instance, is a highly regarded business conference bringing together top representatives from the worlds of business and politics and is organized entirely by the students.

Student life at EBS

Studying at EBS not only means attending lectures, hitting the books and taking examinations, there's still plenty of time left to enjoy student life: Campus life, but also the surrounding Rheingau, and the cities of Wiesbaden, Mainz and Frankfurt offer students plenty of variety and a wide array of leisure activities.

Alumni Statement

Stephan Penz Managing Director DSA Deutsche Sportausweis GmbH Class of 1994

Even today I still enjoy close links with EBS. I maintain regular contact with lots of former students from different semesters, with administrative staff and some of the professors and doctoral students. Many of the friends I made during my time at EBS have become friends for life. Since leaving EBS in 1994 I am happy to be an exEBS supporter and whenever I can find the time, I enjoy accepting invitations from EBS or former students to take part in events such as the regular get-togethers and sporting activities.
