EBS students as "teachers" help secondary school pupils in Wiesbaden with their exam preparation

During two training days on 29 and 30 March 2011, 25 students from EBS Business School helped pupils at the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Schule in Wiesbaden to prepare for their final English examination.

In addition to writing typical exam texts in English with small groups of pupils in the school's five 10th grade classes, EBS students also gave practical exam preparation tips. Pupils and students equally enjoyed the exercise. "This is a great change to normal student life and it's easy to see that the pupils are having fun", said EBS student Gloria Seibert.

"We are delighted that with our knowledge we are able to help the pupils with their exam preparation. Since courses at EBS are taught in English, English was the obvious choice", said EBS Managing Director Sabine Fuchs. Together with the school's headmistress, Hildegard Pöppe, she can easily imagine further cooperation with the school. As Hildegard Pöppe commented, alongside help with exam preparation there is another important aspect: "The students are a great source of motivation for our pupils."

A special thanks here goes to the EBS students involved for their excellent organization of the initiative and to all those who gave their time and effort to make these training days a success.
