Georg Nikolaus Garlichs new Chancellor and CFO
Georg Nikolaus Garlichs studied business in Passau and international business and management in Berlin, Oxford and Paris graduating with a Diploma in Business Studies, a Diplôme de L'École Européenne des Affaires and a European Master of Management.
Garlichs has several years of experience as managing director/CFO in medium-sized companies and more than 10 years experience as financial director/head of financial control in group companies.
From 2006 to 2009 he held the position of CFO at Schimmel Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH (Schimmel Pianos) with overall financial and administrative responsibility that included Treasury, purchasing, human resources, legal affairs, IT and real estate management. From 1996 to 2006 Garlichs was employed at T-Systems International GmbH in various financial management positions.
He gained further professional experience as division head at the German Privatization Agency/Federal Agency for Special Tasks related to German Reunification in Berlin, and in the waste management industry at Gebr. Otto GmbH. From 2009 and prior to joining EBS he was managing director alongside his brother at the real estate company Dr. Garlichs Immobilien GmbH.
Georg Nikolaus Garlichs is privately active on a voluntary basis as representative for financial affairs in the board of directors of the MBK Evangelisches Jugendwerk e.V. (Evangelical Youth Association). In his spare time he enjoys travelling and playing golf and football. We are pleased Georg Garlichs has chosen to join EBS to further support us in this important area on our course of growth.
