SMI International
The Supply Chain Management Institute (SMI) of the EBS Business School is the centre of a global research, education and training network for Purchasing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management. SMI works together with renowned companies and leading Business Schools in a global network of independent teams of scientists at central locations of the global economy, for example:
- SMI China (Shanghai)
- SMI Russia (St. Petersburg)
- SMI India (Bangalore)
The current close cooperation with the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) will develop into SMI Ghana in the near future. Further SMI sites on the African continent will follow, for example in Egypt. Brazil, South Korea and Turkey are prospective countries for further establishment of the growing SMI network. The benefits of such a global network are attractive for the numerous companies which work together with SMI in partnership.
Benefits for Partners
Business partners of SMI profit threefold from the global SMI network:
- SMI researchers conduct on-site studies of direct and unbiased market data. This first-hand information decisively contributes to corporate success in highly intransparent emerging countries.
- All international SMI sites are linked to the top local Business Schools. Therefore, companies in the SMI network are not only supported by local scientists but also have direct access to outstanding graduates.
- Local scholars support business partners with their unique market expertise, their privileged market access, and their excellent connections to local companies, suppliers and public authorities.
