Management as a Team
EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht has a strong management team. The University's business is conducted by the President in his role as CEO and Managing Director together with the Deans and Managing Directors, the Chancellor as CFO and Managing Director, and the CMO and Managing Director.
President/CEO Professor Christopher JahnsProfessor Christopher Jahns has headed EBS since June 2006, first in the position of Dean and since April 2009 as President of the Business School. Following the expansion of the Business School into a University of Business and Law in June 2010, he now holds the position of President of EBS University. In this role he is committed to establishing EBS University as the leading business university in Germany and to achieving a top-ranked position in the world by delivering excellence in research, teaching and academic consulting services. In addition to his position as EBS President, Professor Jahns holds the SVI Endowed Chair of Purchasing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

Dean Business School and Managing Director Prof Dr Rolf TilmesAs Dean and CEO Professor Rolf Tilmes is responsible for the academic administration of EBS Business School. This responsibility includes managing academia consisting of 80 professors, 250 doctoral students, 200 corporate partners, and 180 business school partners worldwide, as well as promoting the further advancement of the EBS business studies and management faculty. Alongside his responsibilities as Dean, Tilmes has headed the Department of Finance Accounting & Real Estate at EBS since 2008 where he holds the Endowed Chair of Private Finance and Wealth Management. In addition, he has held the position of Managing Director EBS Executive Education since 2007.

CMO and Managing Director Sabine FuchsSince January 2008 Sabine Fuchs has been responsible for marketing, fundraising, and alumni activities at EBS. The university marketing expert joined EBS from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. She studied business and management at the Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, and can look back on more than fifteen years of experience in the education sector. She has gained several years of management experience and completed the International Executive Programme at INSEAD. Sabine Fuchs’ accomplishments include the successful organization of centralized sales & marketing at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. |

Dean Law School and Managing Director Prof Dr Dr Gerrick Frhr. v. Hoyningen-HueneIn September 2009, Prof Dr Dr Gerrick Frhr. v. Hoyningen-Huene assumed responsibility as Founding Dean of the new EBS Law School. In this capacity he will be responsible for setting up the Law School including the curriculum design and Chair appointments. As Founding Dean the highly regarded labour law expert aims to establish EBS Law School not only as the youngest but also the most the most modern and most innovative of its kind setting new benchmarks in German legal education. |
