Amit holds a PhD from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. Prior to that, he worked with Aditya Birla Group in India for five years (1999-2004). Prior to that, he completed his MBA from Gujarat University/India in 1999.
Amit's research focuses on the capability building and knowledege management initiatives of service firms. He has investigated the evolution of the Indian software industry into a global software development hub. His prior work also investigates the management of firms in an emerging economy environment. He has published in journals and conference proceedings, and presented his research at various conferences in the fields of management, strategy and knowledge management.
