Scholarships for EBS students coming from developing countries

The EBS Alumni - the alumni organization of the European Business School (EBS), has just turned a page in the history of educational giving. By raising almost USD 200,000 (EUR 127,000) through a combination of philanthropy, matching funds by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and membership dues, eXebs is now uniquely positioned to provide merit-based scholarships and improve the learning outcomes of international students on campus. This comes on top of well-established eXebs programs targeting German students.

The two unparalleled scholarship lines are dedicated to the memory of the Alumni's founder Friedrich J. Schoening who passed away under tragic circumstances in 2006. The "eXebs Friedrich J. Schoening International Scholarship supported by DAAD" and the "eXebs - Greenhill Friedrich J. Schoening International Scholarship supported by DAAD - where unique talent meets unique banking" is for people from developing countries who share his unique blend of management skill, visionary thinking and social conscience. Both scholarships are administered by EBS Alumni and carry a monthly stipend of 250 EUR.

Supporting Young Talents in their Education

With the increasing weight of emerging markets in the global economy, Greenhill’s need for excellent people from these regions is growing fast. We see the “eXebs-Greenhill Friedrich J. Schoening International Scholarship supported by DAAD” as a unique means to support talented students from these regions and supporting them in studying at EBS which we consider one of the preeminent business schools in Germany.

Bringing High Potentials from developing countries to EBS and to Europe

This is a boon to our organization. Long before others eXebs has always believed in the myriad ways in which international students enrich our campus experience. As globalization and technological change continue to reshape the world, we need these individuals and their expertise in refining our programs to a level commensurate with the school’s vision of developing leaders. Our greatest thanks are due to the many private donors, Greenhill & Co. and DAAD who believe in EBS, its unique legacy and vision.
