Kai Foerstl is an assistant professor at the Supply Chain Management Institute of the EBS Business School in Wiesbaden, Germany. Over the last years he has been in volved in consulting projects in the pharma, automotive and logistics services industry. involved in the His primary areas of research include global sourcing decision making, sourcing in innovation projects, sustainable supply chain management and performance measurement. He presented his research at the Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management as well as at NARS, EUROMA and IPSERA. He has published in the following Journals: Journal of Supply Chain Management, Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management, International Journal of Production Research, Journal of Cleaner Production, Supply Chain Management Review and other managerial outlets. He received the Harold E. Fearon Best Paper Award 2010 of the Journal of Supply Chain Management.
