Welcome to EBS Law School

"A pioneering and innovative spirit has traditionally been the driving force and key factor behind EBS success – a tradition that the newly founded EBS Law School has pledged to uphold. As the youngest law faculty in Germany, we aim to be the most modern and most innovative of its kind setting new benchmarks in German legal education. Not just in teaching and learning approaches, but also with a challenging, integrated curriculum that combines traditional legal studies with a specialist focus on business law. Graduates from EBS Law School will be equipped with excellent legal knowledge, business and management expertise, multilingual skills, and will be able to find their feet swiftly and confidently in the world of international business. Their communication and negotiation skills combined with methodological competence will set them apart. With the Bachelor of Laws (LLB), the First State Examination in Law and a Master of Arts in Business (MA) they have the opportunity to gain three outstanding qualifications in just four-and-a-half years. As entrepreneurial-minded legal professionals they are well equipped to pursue successful careers in today's competitive global economy."

Make law your profession

The banking sector, industry organizations, (international) law firms, public authorities and government ministries are in urgent need of legal professionals with an excellent business education. At the same time the increasing complexity of global markets presents a growing challenge for future lawyers and legal professionals. This in turn means that legal studies programmes must cater to new demands. The EBS Law School curriculum will meet these changing needs. Beginning in autumn 2011 on our Wiesbaden Campus we shall be the first and only University in Germany to offer a fully-fledged traditional law degree programme with a clear focus on business law. Under the direction of Founding Dean and highly regarded employment law expert, Professor Dr Dr Gerrick Freiherr v. Hoyningen-Huene, a Law School has been established that combines legal with business studies and delivers top level research, teaching and executive education of high practical relevance, not only in the legal field but also at the intersection of business and law.
