In a survey among human resource managers carried out each year by the "WirtschaftsWoche", EBS is rated Germany's third-best private university for business studies. At the same time EBS is placed eighth in the overall ranking for business studies. Human resource managers from the largest companies in Germany across a wide range of sectors gave graduates from private universities a better rating than graduates from public institutions for demeanour, and experience abroad.

Among the 1,000 best business schools worldwide, EBS is ranked Number 2 in Germany with five palms: top business schools, internationally known. This was the result of the Eduniversal Ranking 2012, a survey carried out among the deans and directors of 1,000 selected business schools on five continents.
Selection and ranking takes into account the national and international reputation of each business school. The survey distinguishes between schools with international influence and global reputation, internationally known schools, and schools that are important at national level.
CHE University Ranking

In a recent survey carried out by the Centre for Higher Education (CHE) among Master's students enrolled in business and management programmes, EBS Business School achieved top rankings in all the dimensions analysed. Categories included in the analysis were research, relevance to practice, transition to the Master's programmes, support from teaching staff and overall study situation.
85 departments offering continuing Master's programmes took part in the latest CHE survey.
CHE Special Report
In a special report titled "Multifaceted Excellence 2011 in Business and Economics at Universities" published on 24 November by Germany’s Center for Higher Education Development (CHE) EBS has received outstanding results. In the dimension Research EBS was ranked in the top group as the best private university in Germany and achieved top rankings in six out of eight categories. In the dimension Practical Application EBS was awarded the highest number of points [four out of five]. In the category External Funding EBS leads the field in Germany with 91,400 euros per researcher, the majority of these funds provided by the private industry sector. And in the category "Number of publications [per year in Germany]" EBS is among the top 5 in the country.
In the Bachelor Practical Check, which evaluates the integration of non-subject-related professional competencies into the curriculum, the delivery of social skills and the programmes' practical orientation, EBS achieved the highest number of points among the German universities included in the analysis. And in the dimension Internationality/International Orientation EBS Business School was among the four top ranked institutions.

In the current CHE University Ranking EBS has once again received outstanding evaluations for overall study conditions, study organization, international orientation and third party funding. This places EBS Business School among the top 5 ranked business studies faculties in Germany.The CHE University Ranking is the most comprehensive and detailed ranking in German-speaking countries. Over 300 universities and universities of applied sciences in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and The Netherlands are included in the ranking. In addition to facts about study programmes, teaching, facilities, and research, the ranking also includes the assessments of 250,000 students on study conditions at their institution.
At the same time, according to the CHE University Ranking of German Universities 2008, EBS is among the top 6 and belongs to the top tier universities for business studies in Germany.
In the CHE research ranking 2008 EBS is also among the top tier universities. Criteria included the amount of external funding spent, a bibliometric analysis, and the number of doctorates awarded each year. To be considered strong in research, a university must achieve a top ranking in at least four of the eight categories.

In the large-scale survey carried out by StudiVZ, EBS was placed 4th in the overall ranking of universities in German-speaking countries. In the categories facilities and practice orientation EBS was rated the second best university.
Handelsblatt

The Handelsblatt business studies ranking rates the best business studies faculties in German-speaking countries and outstanding researchers. As the second best private university, EBS was ranked 15.
