IRIS: Information Systems Development

This first introductory module in the track Business Information Systems comprises an overview of the essential components of information systems and the process of developing and implementing them. [more]

IRIS: Enterprise Modelling & Enterprise Systems

Modelling in software engineering generally focuses on the development of a specific software system. The goal of enterprise modelling (business engineering) is to enhance the performance of an enterprise through formal modelling, the application of appropriate concepts, best practices, and information technology. Enterprise modelling is used as a business transformation tool, i.e. in business process re-design or when implementing enterprise systems. The second course in the module introduces students to the basics of enterprise systems, common types (e.g. ERP; CRM, SCM), their architecture and to tailoring approaches. [more]

IRIS: Information Management

This module focuses on the managerial aspects of information systems from different perspectives: the support of management's decision-making through gathering and analysing quantitative information as well as the management of qualitative (“soft”) information in the context of knowledge management.
